Entertainment One confirms Peppa Pig's US move

New half hour TV series to air on Nick Jr.

Entertainment One has completed a deal with Nickelodeon's Nick Jr which will see Peppa Pig broadcast in the US.

A new half series of the Astley Baker Davies show will air Stateside. Peppa Pig currently airs as an interstitial series on Nick Jr in the territory.

"We are confident that Peppa will be as popular with children and families in the US as she is in the UK, creating opportunities to further expand the franchise around the world," said Darren Throop, CEO of Entertainment One. "We look forward to our multi-award winning pre-school series making its US debut on Nick Jr as half hours."

Teri Weiss, SVP, Nickleodeon Pre-school, added: "Our audience has enjoyed the Peppa Pig animated shorts, and we know they will love getting to know Peppa, her family and friends in the new half-hour animated series."

Peppa Pig airs in 180 territories worldwide. It has a catalogue of 156 episodes and an additional 52 commissioned and in production for delivery over the next two years.
