Entertainment One has teamed up with tumuv to create a Peppa Pig branded physical activity programme for pre-schoolers.
The 'Move with Peppa' campaign is designed specifically for two to four year olds, and will launch initially in six Places for People Leisure centres from January 2015.
The programme, designed to build motivation, physical confidence, coordination and balance, will be expanding nationwide throughout next year.
“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with tumuv in developing this exciting new initiative," said Hannah Mungo, head of UK licensing at eOne.
"‘Move with Peppa’ is the perfect way to gently introduce physical exercise, made all the more fun with themed activities and a built in awards-scheme. We hope parents and kids throughout the country will soon be joining in with our ‘Peppa Steppa’ routine as the scheme expands nationwide throughout 2015.”
A full marketing programme is currently in development, using resources from eOne, Tumuv and Places for People.
Founder of tumuv, Holly Woodford, added: “We are delighted to be working with eOne to develop ‘Move with Peppa’.
"Children are less active than they have ever been and we wanted to use the magic of Peppa Pig to give children an early introduction into the fun and enjoyment of being active. Children across the country have fallen in love with Peppa Pig through their TV screens so how better to inspire and excite young children as they experience physical exercise for the first time.”
'Move with Peppa' will feature 45 minute weekly sessions, 36 weeks per year, delivered by trained and licensed child centred practitioners.
