eOne expands PJ Masks into the Mexican market

Televisa has been confirmed as BTA broadcaster, while Bandai Mexico will introduce toys to the market.

Entertainment One continues to expand the reach of the ever-popular children's brand, PJ Masks, with the announcement of a Mexican broadcaster along with toy partners.

Free to air broadcaster, Televisa, will begin airing series one of the pre-school superhero show in Mexico from October 2017. Televisa will broadcast the show in addition to co-production partner Disney Junior, where the show airs daily across the LATAM region.

Bandai México has been confirmed as a distributor for Just Play's toy range in the region, which launched in the UK last year.

These new licenses join a raft of partners ranging from Penguin Random House in publishing to apparel brands, including Creaciones Guz and E-Fashion.

Murilo Hinojosa, VP of licensing in Latin America at Entertainment One, commented: “PJ Masks has been embraced by audiences in Mexico and the addition of Televisa will see the brand’s popularity soar as merchandise begins to roll out this year.
