Entertainment One Family has secured a deal with Chellomedia's Central European cartoon channel Minimax for the first two series of Peppa Pig.
The show will be broadcast in a variety of local languages including Hungarian, Romanian, Czech, Slovenian and Serbian.
The deal will greatly enhance Peppa Pig's TV presence in Eastern Europe where it is already shown on TVP and MiniMini in Poland, Ceska Televize in Czech Republic, RTV in Slovenia and Nova TV in Croatia.
"We're delighted to be working with eOne to extend the reach of Peppa Pig in the Central European market," said Katalin Radóczy, chief programming officer, Chello Central Europe Minimax. "We have a strong history of supporting new content and offering our viewers shows that educate whilst they entertain.
"Peppa is a great fit with our existing portfolio and we're sure that the show will be a massive hit when it launches later this year."
Joss Duffield, head of international sales at eOne Family, added: "The Minimax deal completes the broadcast picture for Central Eastern Europe. Its commitment to broadcasting Peppa Pig in multiple languages will drive huge awareness for the show, which we are certain will drive demand for further series."
