Entertainment One has unveiled a raft of promotional activities for its Peppa Pig brand for this autumn/winter - while a move to US screens with Nickelodeon is also being widely mooted online.
The Telegraph has reported that eOne is understood to be in late stage negotiations with the Nickelodeon network to feature the show in a key slot on Nick Jr in the US (click here to read the full story).
The story stated that the deal would be "potentially transformational" for the company.
Back in the UK, the Peppa Pig Countathon with Tumble Tots is taking place during National Children's Activity Week to raise money for Tommy's baby charity. Children attending Tumble Tots physical play classes across the UK will be sponsored to carry out ten different counting activities.
In addition, from Friday October 15th, Picturehouse Cinemas will be offering families the chance to attend special 60-minute sessions, showcasing content from series three of Peppa Pig and the first season of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom. The screenings, which will run until November 11th, will take place three mornings per week in 18 selected cinemas.
Part of an initiative called Your Child's First Cinema Experience, the special screenings are designed to introduce youngsters to the big screen experience. Activity will be supported with a comprehensive marketing drive, including foyer standees, quad posters and CDUs, plus two weeks of pre-promotion.
eOne will also be maximising all cross marketing opportunities, with a trailer promoting master toy licensees and the upcoming DVD releases of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom: Holly's Magic Wand and Peppa Pig Santa's Grotto.
Finally, Peppa Pig's Party theatre tour moves into the Criterion Theatre, Piccadilly Circus, London for Christmas. Previewing from November 30th, the West End run will continue until January 2nd 2011.
