eOne has secured major broadcast agreements around the globe for over 100 hours of children’s programming from its catalogue.
The first two series (104 x 11’) of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom have been acquired by PBS Thai while the second series (52 x 11’) has been picked up by TVB Hong Kong and Okto Singapore.
Elsewhere, Germany’s ZDF has acquired the second series for its kids block as well as leading children’s channel KiKA.
The brand is also attracting a growing audience in New Zealand and Four has secured the second series for broadcast. Nickelodeon recently acquired the second series and have also renewed the global rights (ex-US) to broadcast series one.
Peppa Pig continues to expand throughout Europe with ETV Estonia picking up the first two series (104 x 5’) in a new deal.
Star Greece has acquired the fourth series (26 x 5’) of the hitpre-school show along with a ten minute Christmas Special episode.
WDR Germany has also secured broadcast rights to series five and six (48 x 5’) and renewed the first two series’ of Peppa Pig. The show also airs on ZDF-owned children’s channel, KiKA in Germany.
eOne has also inked a home entertainment deal with Universal for the first two series’ of Peppa Pig.
The deal will see Peppa DVDs distributed throughout Germany, Latin America and Brazil.
Peppa will also be available on in-flight services after eOne concluded agreements with Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand and Jet Star for a selection of Peppa compilation packages.
eOne has also negotiated several agreements in Asia for their pre-school series, Humf. The complete 78 x 7 minute episodes will air on PBS Thai, TVB Hong Kong and Okto Singapore.
Okto Singapore has also acquired Magic Hockey Skates, which follows the adventures of pint-sized kid Joey as he is granted three wishes by his battered old skates.
The half-hour Special will also be aired on DR Denmark and SVT in Sweden.
Elsewhere, MBC has secured Rob the Robot to air across the Middle East while Lost and Found, based on the best-selling Oliver Jeffers book, is set to debut in Latin America after eOne signed an agreement with Discovery Kids for the 1 x 24 minute Special.
