Entertainment One Family has given its key brands a digital makeover.
The firm has launched a new-look website for Peppa Pig, which appears to have been a success already with children and parents. Since its relaunch, traffic to the site has increased by 66 per cent.
The portal includes a 'Peppa Me' feature which allows children to customise one of their favourite Peppa characters and create a personalised avatar. Once registered on the site, parents and children can log on and use their avatar to play games.
Registered users will also receive unique promotional offers, applications, newsletters, competitions and brand updates.
Meanwhile, free online advent calendars for Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom will be available from December 1st.
On top of the new website, official Facebook pages have launched for Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly and Humf, while Twitter accounts for all three brands are also on the way.
"The internet is an integral part of the every day lives of parents and children and we have recognised that our brands need to develop robust digital strategies to reach families online," said Andrew Carley, head of global licensing at Entertainment One.
"The new Peppa Pig website and social media channels for our three core brands is the first step in an ongoing strategy to strengthen the presence of our brands online, and to create online destinations that entertain children, keep parents abreast of all the latest brand developments whilst also serving as an effective marketing tool for our key licensees."
