Entertainment One has hired Jennifer Bennett (pictured) as VP of licensing and merchandise for North America.

Head of licensing Andrew Carley said: “Having a dedicated person on the ground is integral to our plans to establish eOne as a major player in North America."

Following the successful launch of Peppa Pig on America’s Nick Jr, Entertainment One has plans to use the brand to grow in the territory.

Reporting to Carley, Bennett will be responsible for managing business plans, budgets and revenue goals that will be integrated into eOne’s wider business objectives for both Peppa Pig and other brands and properties.

Bennett has previously worked as executive VP of licensing and brand development for CCI Entertainment and VP of merchandising and licensing at Alliance Atlantis.

Bennet has a track record for "building successful licensing programmes, working with major American licensees and retailers and developing promotions that have significantly increased revenue," Carley said.
