Walt Disney World has celebrated the premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by transforming the Epcot Center's Spaceship Earth ride into the Death Star.

The effect was created using projectors, complete with a laser, although this laser is thankfully not functional and able to destroy an entire planet with a single blast.

Rogue One star Mads Mikkelsen was in attendance, along with a handful of black-clad Stormtroopers. A few more Star Wars-related occasions and attractions are being organised across Disney-owned parks and areas.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits cinemas on 16th December.
