Eric Carle programme expanded

Chorion secures new promotional and licensing agreements for award winning property.

A raft of deals have been secured in the US, Canada and Japan by Chorion for The World of Eric Carle.

In an exclusive promotional campaign with PictureMe Portrait Studios, parents will be able to have their children's portraits framed in a range of new designs featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The promotion runs across 1,800 Wal-mart stores in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico until June 22nd and is supported by promotional flyers, counter top displays, email marketing and coupons in portrait envelopes.

In a separate deal, US footwear firm Stride Rite Children's Group is also collaborating with Chorion.

Featuring characters from Brown Bear, Brown Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, 'The World of Eric Carle Collection by Stride Rite' will include footwear for children from nine months up to two years and will be available from the autumn.

Elsewhere, Google is making its Google Doodle t-shirt, featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar, while, in Japan, licensees Kreo, Circle K and Sunkus have joined forces on a Wonderful Bread Life baked goods promotion.
