A new special episode of Everything's Rosie is set to premiere this December at Pinewood Studios.

The 24 minute extended episode, entitled when You Wish Upon An Oak, has been produced by V&S Entertainment and JCC and will premiere on December 13th, before airing on CBeebies in early 2014.

Described as Rosie's 'biggest adventure yet' the special will follow the popular pre-school character and her friends in a race to discover Oakley's age and throw him the 'best birthday party ever.'

"Off the back of our hugely successful pre-school series it was important for us to produce a feature length episode that really was special in every sense of the word," said Vickie Corner, managing director of V&S Entertainment.

The special episode will feature a variety of new locations including a waterfall, forest and crystal cave as well as three new characters.

"We spent a lot of time developing and building new locations and creating new characters, whilst still concentrating on core characters and retaining the essence that is so instantly recognisable with Rosie's existing world," continued Corner.

"We wanted to take children on an awe-inspiring adventure that would excite and amaze them, and I think when they see the beautiful waterfall, abundant forest and magnificent crystal cave for the first time they will be mesmerised.

"The emotive musical score serves to enhance the stunning visuals that will take viewers on a magical journey of discovery and friendship, giving the show an almost filmic quality.

"Extended episodes for pre-school series are not often created these days due to budget restrictions however we were determined to produce a brand new special for Rosie to celebrate the success of the most recent series.

"We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to sharing the launch with our co-production partners and to offering the show to our many clients around the world.”
