Bang on the Door has added two new bespoke characters to its Fabric Animals collection.

Monkey and Frog were requested by Brazilian licensee Tilibra and will initially feature on the firm's stationery line.

"We are always happy to work closely with licensees and tap into opportunities and maximise the brand's potential, and Tilibra feel quite strongly that these animals will perform well for them in Brazil," said Bang on the Door MD, Karen Duncan.

"We've always had the ability to cater to licensees' individual needs and these new animals highlight the collaborative approach we have with our partners. The initial visuals are looking great and we are looking forward to seeing the new characters on stationery and particularly on cards - a new category in Brazil for us."

BOTD is already enjoying considerable success in Brazil. Globaal Shoes has produced a range of sneakers for the Groovy Chick and Fairy Girl brands for a late 2010 launch, while it is planning Caterpillar, Giraffe, Penguin and Puppy versions in early 2011.

Bag licensee Maxlog has also produced four collections using Fabric Animals, Groovy Chick and Make It Groovy, plus Moa has created flip flops using Groovy Chick, Pony Girls and Football Crazy.
