Entertainment One has released its interim management statement for the period from April 1st 2012, revealing another successful quarter.
Group revenues for the first quarter increased by 16 per cent, while strong growth in the television business saw revenue climb over 200 per cent. Full year results are expected to be in line with management's expectations.
Within television, it delivered 67 half hours of programming in the first quarter, significantly ahead of the prior year, driving an increase of more than 200 per cent in revenue.
For Family in particular, in the US Peppa Pig's viewing figures remain strong and preparations are underway for the national merchandising launch, with exclusive toy partners Fisher-Price and Toys R Us, plus publishers Scholastic and Candlewick.
Further deals have recently been agreed with Disney Junior in Italy and Spain - further strengthening existing broadcast platforms with RAI and TVE respectively. TV2 and Media Works are also on board in New Zealand and ETV in South Africa.
The second series of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is now airing on Nick Jr in the UK, while broadcast on Milkshake begins in the autumn.
