Fifth Forever Friends album readies for release

Hallmark has once again teamed up with Sony, to launch its fifth Forever Friends CD - Especially For You.

The album will be released on November 28th and will be in three CDs and download, featuring 60 songs.

Fans of the brand were invited to help select the songs, with over 1,000 helping Sony Music choose the tracks from artists such as Westlife, Michael Buble, Abba, Will Young and Leona Lewis.

"We really wanted to ensure that the album had maximum appeal among Forever Friends fans, and by asking them for their input, we're confident that this new album does exactly that," said Julie Michell, licensing manager at Hallmark. "It was great to see so many fans contributing."

Sony Music has enjoyed success with previous Forever Friends albums, including a number one and a Gold album, which sold over 100,000 copies.

Olivia Walker, product manager at Sony Music, said: "Forever Friends has proven time and time again that it really resonates with the British public. Once combined with Sony Music's rich heritage acts and catalogue, the brand can deliver impressive sales figures and chart positions."
