Universal Brand Development has unveiled the first details of the UK consumer products roll-out for the animated series, DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender.
The reimagining of one of the most popular fan-favourite shows of all time, DreamWorksVoltron Legendary Defender followsfive unsuspecting teenagers, transported from Earth into the middle of a sprawling intergalactic war, as they become pilots for five robotic lions in a battle to protect the universe from evil.
Voltron Legendary Defender has played to critical acclaim on Netflix since June 2016, and it is now expanding its reach with Sony’s POP channel confirmed as the free-to-air home of the show in the UK.
POP celebrated the arrival of the series with a three-part special that was broadcast on Saturday 23rd September 2017 at 17.00pm and repeated on Sunday 24th September 2017 at 09.00pm.

DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender will bring a robust consumer products programme, lead by the global master toy partner, Playmates, with UK distribution from Flair starting in April 2018.
It will be further expanded in Autumn/Winter 2018 with publishing and home entertainment; apparel, home. Party and FMCG.
