With series four already pulling in over four million viewers per episode, plus a celebrity special planned for Channel 4's Stand Up For Cancer night on Friday, October 17th, Rockpool Licensing has been busy signing up the first wave of licensees for Gogglebox.
The board game from Paul Lamond is the first product to hit shelves this week. The toy firm is now being joined by Trademark Products and Poetic Gem for nightwear, underwear and outerwear ranges, while Roy Lowe & Sons is on board for socks and Moonpig for online greetings and gift lines, which are due for launch next month.
"I'm thrilled that so many excellent licensees have come on board and have worked so quickly to get product on shelf for this Christmas," said Vickie O'Malley, MD of Rockpool Licensing. "We're on air for 12 weeks, right up until the middle of December and so the timing for our initial product launches couldn't be better.
"The nation has taken Gogglebox to its heart and we're so thrilled that our partners are capturing the essence of the show and developing product ranges that can't help but make you smile.
"We're talking to partners for greetings, homewares, stationery, kitchenware and promotional partnerships for 2015 and in the meantime, Secret Santas everywhere will have a perfect present for this year's office party."
The most tweeted about show on TV, Channel 4 has already committed to series five and six of Gogglebox, which will air in spring/summer and autumn/winter 2015.
