Five extends Roobarb and Custard deal for another two years

Bulldog-represented property to continue its run as part of the Milkshake programming block.

Bulldog will be hoping licensing interest in the Roobarb and Custard brand is given a boost, following the news that Channel Five has extended its broadcast deal as part of the Milkshake block for another two years.

The show has been airing on Five since its relaunch in 2005.

"Roobard and Custard Too has proved to be a real hit on Five, so we are delighted that it will be showing for a further two years," said Bulldog MD, Rob Corney. "In licensing terms, the property has achieved that enviable status of classic brand, with appeal right across the age groups.

"This is a fantastic platform to build on and we are looking forward to adding to what is already a strong licensing programme throughout the coming year."

Licensees already on board include Poetic Gem, Museums and Galleries, Smith Media, PMS, Mogzilla and Riviera. Bulldog is also receiving strong interest from the pet accessories, mugs and gifts sectors.
