Flair Leisure has scored the exclusive distribution rights to one of the most popular characters from the Toy Story films, Slinky Dog.

Poof Slinky, the owner of the 1950s brand, has seen sales steadily increase since its appearance in the films. It chose to work with Flair following its success with other heritage brands.

"Slinky Dog is a classic toy that has had huge appeal since its creation in the 50s," said Ray Dallavecchia, president and CEO of Poof Slinky. "Since his appearance in the films, we have experienced significant increases in this toy's popularity. Flair is the ideal sole distribution partner for all Slinky products."

Simon Hedge, commercial director at Flair, added: "We are delighted to be associated with such a well known and much loved product line and envisage great things for the brand in the near future. 2009 has been highly successful, but 2010 promises to be another landmark year as Slinky Dog features in Disney's long awaited Toy Story 3."
