Flashwear has launched a line of illuminating t-shirts featuring a number of big name licences, including Star Wars and Space Invaders.

Flashwear first introduced illuminating apparel into the market back in 2005. The 't-qualiser' is a shirt with a sound activated graphic equaliser. The products are made using technology called electroluminescence, which is a flat panel coated in phosphor which lights up when charged with a small amount of electricity.

Last year, the t-qualiser featured in the video for the Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow, with lead singer Fergie regularly spotted wearing the tee on the band's promotional tour.

"The t-qualiser has been a great product for us over the last few years and we have really wanted to take it from being a one hit novelty to making it more of a mainstream product," explained Flashwear's Simon Parkes. "Licensing we feel is the best option and what better licences to kick off with than Star Wars and Space Invaders. We put the shirts on our site and, unsurprisingly, saw it out selling our other designs."
