FremantleMedia Enterprises has appointed former Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products exec, Kate Schlomann, to the newly created role of EVP brand management and marketing.

Schlomann will be based in London and report to global CEO, David Ellender.

The creation of the role has been driven by FME's expansion into new areas of IP development, such as children's and family entertainment, and non-TV IP, like design-led fashion brand Rebecca Bonbon and table tennis property, Hard Bat.

Picking up the role in November, Schlomann will be responsible for both the strategy and management of FME brands around the world, as well as the global corporate marketing function for the company.

"Kate's background is impeccable; her experience with huge global kids' brands, in major studio environments and in the licensing and retail space, makes her the ideal candidate and we look forward to welcoming her to the FME family," commented Ellender.
