North West toy company RMS International has teamed up with car maker Ford to offer a new range of licensed batteries.
RMS will package and distribute a complete range of core size batteries throughout the UK.
RMS managing director Ryan Farber said: “Our exclusive deal with Ford batteries means that we will be able to offer both retailers and end consumers a product that is high quality, with one of the world’s most recognised brand names. It’s a real coup for us, and is a sign of Ford’s belief in our strength in the marketplace and know how of the target audience and what works for them in terms of product and price.
“Sales of own-label batteries have risen significantly over the past 12 months, with value sales increasing by 8.7 per cent and volume sales up 16 per cent. We feel there is a strong opportunity for us to enter this market, especially with such a well-respected and internationally recognised brand as Ford.
“This is an exciting partnership for RMS and we are looking forward to working with Ford on other successful ventures in the future.”
