20th Century Fox Consumer Products has kicked off a new licensing partnership with Plastic Head, with the firm lining up apparel and accessories ranges for American Dad and Alien.

Plastic Head - which has mainly dealt with music-related relases in the past - will introduce a range of printed t-shirts, baseball shirts, sweatshirts, combat shirts and trucker cap bearing images from the classic Alien movie posters, the USCSS Nostromo and Weyland Yutani.

In addition, it will aim to tap into the humour of American Dad with a range of retro crew neck tees and varsity style sweatshirts, contrast sleeve baseball tees and baseball caps. The collection will feature the characters and slogans from the show and launch at retail on May 28th.

All ranges will launch at Forbidden Planet, which will dedicate significant window space to Plastic Head's new merchandise in its flagship London stores, as well as online.

"Our creative vision means we're able to offer something really unique and innovative while maintaining the authenticity that fans look for in licensed products," said Chris Parkes, merchandising director at Plastic Head. "Alien and American Dad are exceptional brands to launch our entry into the film and TV merchandise business and we look forward to what we hope will be a long-term relationship with Fox Consumer Products."

Carl Lumbard, SVP & MD, FCP EMEA, added: "We're delighted to welcome Plastic Head Distribution to our family of high calibre licensees."
