FRANCE: McDonalds signs up as promotional partner for Zodiak Kids' Lolirock

Restaurant chain will be promoting the animated series throughout the month.

Zodiak Kids has confirmed that McDonalds has signed up as a promotional partner for LoliRock in France, amidst a flurry of licensing activity including DVD, book and comic launches.

The restaurant chain will be promoting the animated series this month, which broadcasts on France 4, by including four different collectable promotional gifts in Happy Meals and a LoliRock display throughout it’s restaurants across France. Gifts include a LoliRock journal and three different glittery LoliRock Sceptre pencil topper necklaces, which come with a colouring pencil and accessory designed to look just like the princess’ in the show. The campaign will also be supported with television advertising and online.

A new licensing deal with France TV Distribution for LoliRock DVDs has also been put in place which will see 10,000 DVDs launch at retail this month and La Bibliotheque Rose will launch LoliRock novels on April 1st, with over 40,000 copies of the books being made available for volumes one and two, with volume three set to follow in September 2015.

In addition, Hachette LoliRock Comics will be available in more than 3,000 points of sale across France.

Aimed at six to 12 year olds, LoliRock follows the journey of young Iris, a spirited teenage girl with a beautiful voice and an unending desire to help others. When Iris joins the girl band LoliRock, her life is changed forever, as a new world of music, mystery and magical powers are revealed.

Zodiak Kids holds worldwide distribution and licensing rights to the series. France TV Distribution (FTV) is Zodiak Kids licensing agent in France for LoliRock.
