FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has announced that its pre-school property Kate & Mim-Mim has been acquired by a number of major international broadcasters.

The broadcasters include including Disney Asia, MBC, ETV, YLE, Karusel, Cartoonito, MiniMini and Minika. These sales are in addition to existing deals with major broadcasters that include CBeebies, Disney Junior, Super RTL, Clan, Lagardère, DR, SVT, Panda, Mini Max (Central Eastern Europe), PBS (Thailand) and Okto.

The additional deals bring the total number of international territories to 125.

Joss Duffield, VP global sales, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment commented: “We are delighted with these latest sales which confirm Kate & Mim-Mim’s huge international appeal. The show’s themes of imagination, humour, adventure and problem solving are clearly resonating with children around the world and proving to be universally popular.”

Inspired by a real life girl Kate & Mim-Mim follows the adventures of Kate, a young girl who, together with her toy rabbit Mim-Mim, travels to the fantasy world of Mimiloo where Mim-Mim comes alive as a larger-than-life playmate.

Created by Scott and Julie Stewart, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment holds the exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside of Canada. The second series of the show is currently in production and will premiere on Disney Junior US next year.
