Funcom signs deal with Lego for Minifigures MMO

Online game developer gains rights to produce new online game following closure of Lego Universe.

Funcom has signed a licensing deal with Lego which will allow it to make a Lego Minifigures online computer game. 

It will produce a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game based on the popular Lego Minifigures franchise, following the closure of MMO Lego Universe.

The game will focus on ‘maximum accessibility’ according to a statement, and will be a ‘prominent part of the Lego Minifigures online experience’, which already has millions of unique visitors each month.
