Garfield joins T Shirt Booth to help raise money for Cats Protection

The charity fund raising T-shirt App has revealed the latest licensor to join its cause, as Paws Inc partners Garfield with the initiative, raising money for Cats Protection.

Created by Digital Giving, the T-shirt Booth App is a fundraising tool, allowing customers to download the app and create a t-shirt with their chosen character, the logo of the charity that the character is affiliated to, the photo of the child who will be wearing the t-shirt and a message.

The tees are available in a wide range of colours and children's sizes with 20 per cent of each t-shirt price going to each affiliated charity.

Garfield creator, Jim Davis, said: "The T-shirt Booth App is a work of genius. Everyone wins, but the really big winner is a deserving organisation: Cats Protection."

The lasagne loving feline himself, added: "Big Fat Hairy Deal."

Davis continued: "While Garfield may be flippant in his reply, I know deep down he'd appreciate that his comrades in the cat world were being cared for."

Lewis Coghlin, Cats Protection's director of fundraising, said: "We're really pleased to be working with T-shirt Booth to help the many homeless cats in our care.

"An opportunity like this can make a big difference because it raises awareness of the work we do for cat welfare across the UK and also provides vital funds.

"It's a fun initiative and I think the association with Garfield makes it a purr-fect fit."

Garfield now joins an illustrious cast of characters for the new app including Moshi Monsters, Bin Weevils, Paddington Bear, Ben 10, Lazy Town and Adventure Time.
