Genius Brands International has started development on an animated TV series for six to nine year olds based on its Genius brand of IP.
The series is being developed for the autumn 2014 broadcast season.
The announcement comes on the heels of a new milestone for Genius Brands, which over reached over 10,000,000 video views on its Baby Genius YouTube channel.
"An animated television series based on our core brands is the next natural step in our global strategy to build upon the continuing momentum for our brands through all forms of media," explained Howard Balaban, EVP new business development at Genius Brands. "We are thrilled to be working with [Suzanne] Bolch and [John] May on this new entertainment venture."
