Genius Brands promotes two executives to SVP

Deb Pierson has been named SVP, global content distribution and marketing while Lloyd Mintz becomes SVP of worldwide consumer products.

Genius Brands has detailed a double promotion, naming Deb Pierson as its SVP, global content distribution and marketing and Lloyd Mintz as SVP of worldwide consumer products.

In her new role, Pierson will be charged with oversight of Genius Brands’ global content distribution business for its catalogue of animated properties, including SpacePop, Llama Llama, Rainbow Rangers and more.

She will work to identify potential co-production partners and advise on the development of new and acquired properties for international and domestic distribution. Pierson will also continue to drive the expansion of the Kids Genius Cartoon Channel domestically and internationally.

Meanwhile, Mintz will expand his current areas of oversight in the company’s consumer products division, taking on direct responsibility for increasing global awareness for Genius Brands’ roster of properties. This includes spearheading the development and implementation of worldwide licensing and merchandising programmes for its signature brands.
