Disney UK has announced that Geri Halliwell has joined the voice acting cast of its forthcoming pre-school series Henry Hugglemonster.
Halliwell will be the voice of Isabella Roarsome, ‘a spirited and popular monster popstar’. Brian Blessed and Brenda Blethyn are also lending their voice acting talents to the show.
Henry Hugglemonster is set to premiere on Disney Junior UK on February 8th before rolling out to audiences in more than 150 countries worldwide.
The show follows the adventures of the five-year-old Henry Hugglemonster, the middle child in a happy family – the Hugglemonsters. Each story will follow Henry Hugglemonster as he guides the young audience through the experiences of being part of a loving, bustling monster family.
The fictional Isabella Roarsome commented: “Being involved in Henry Hugglemonster has been such a joy. The show has a truly positive message, teaching kids to be themselves and reminding them of the importance of family values. What’s more, it’s been so lovely to share this experience with my own daughter, who helped me learn the songs for my role as Isabella!”
