The hype is continuing to build for Taffy Entertainment and Atlantyca property Geronimo Stilton - with the two firms securing Italy's Rai and France's M6 as the first major European broadcasters for the new animated TV series.
Based on the popular series of children's chapter books of the same name, Geronimo Stilton is due to debut in autumn 2009.
"Rai is the perfect home for this new series and it is only fitting that our first broadcast deal would be in Geronimo's native Italy," said Atlantyca's senior manager and series executive producer, Caterina Vacchi. "These first deals reflect our commitment to extend the reach of the Geronimo Stilton brand throughout the world on leading television platforms, to complement out expanding licensing and merchandising activity."
Nicolas Atlan, co CEO of the MoonScoop Group and executive producer of the series, added: "M6 and Rai already have one of the strongest blocks of kid-oriented programming in their respective countries, and Geronimo Stilton will be a superb addition to their line-ups."
