Taffy Entertainment has secured its first broadcast pre-sales for Geronimo Stilton with Radio-Canada.
The show - which is currently being produced by Atlantyca Entertainment and Moonscoop Productions, in association with Mike Young Productions - is based on the popular children's book series and is due to air in 2009/10.
The series centres on the life and adventures of Geronimo Stilton - head of a veritable media empire, erudite mouse and klutz extraordinaire - and his nephew, Benjamin Stilton.
"The Geronimo Stilton books are loved by kids in Canada and around the world, so we wanted to bring this wonderful new TV series to our young audience," said Cécile Bellemare, director of youth, family and lifestyle programming for Radio-Canada.
"We anticipate Geronimo and his friends will be welcomed in homes across the country for many years to come."
Lionel Marty, president of worldwide sales for Taffy, added: "Radio-Canada is an ideal home for the series. They already have a strong line-up of fantastic shows and I'm sure Geronimo Stilton will be a perfect fit."
