Chapman Entertainment's Fifi and the Flowertots is partnering with the British Science Association to mark National Science and Engineering Week.
Chapman has designed pre-school material using Fifi as an ambassador for the What on Earth campaign. Aimed at encouraging children to discover their natural surroundings, the week runs from March 12th to 21st.
Children simply need to go into their garden or local park, take a picture of something they don't recognise and upload it to a special website. The aim is to spot, collect and identify as many species as possible over the course of the week.
Downloadable activity materials will appear on both the Fifi and British Science Association websites for teachers and parents to print off.
"This is an exciting partnership for Fifi," said Chloe Grant, brand manager at Chapman.
