Granada Ventures restructures licensing team

Firm looks to maximise sales potential from brand portfolio with new look division.

The head of licensing at Granada Ventures, Mel Beer has just overseen a restructuring of the licensing team designed to maximise sales potential from its extensive brand portfolio.

Julie Quirke has been promoted to senior brand and licensing manager for pre-school. Responsible for major children’s properties Numberjacks and Pocoyo, Quirke will be supported by Jo Bird, recently promoted from creative executive to the newly created role of brand and licensing executive pre-school.

Van Uong has added promotions to his new media responsibilities, while Martin Binyon will be the brand and licensing manager responsible for the Gerry Anderson portfolio, drama, comedy and entertainment.

Ed Abis, commercial sports manager, will also report to Beer on all sports licensing activity. Binyon and Abis will be supported by Emily Briggs who has been promoted to brand and licensing executive for sports, drama, comedy and entertainment.

Beer will also be recruiting for the international position of brand and licensing manager for Bella Sara in the New Year.

Nicole Withers is now responsible for retail in addition to her existing marketing role. Michelle Smith continues in her role as creative director, with Stacey Pyper as head of creative and Steve Kidd as creative assistant.

Paula Miller, VP of licensing US, will continue to represent the Granada Ventures brands in the US, based in the LA office.
