GreenLight will handle advertising and promotional opportunities for personality rights and trademarks, including Ali’s name, image, likeness, signatures and characterisations exclusively in Europe and Asia Pacific.

MAE selected GreenLight, which conducts thousands of clearances every year for clients worldwide, for its global network of licensing connections.

Through the agreement, MAE and GreenLight’s parent company, Corbis Images, a leading visual media provider for the creative community, will share reciprocal access to each other’s historic collections of Ali digital media.

This will provide clients easy access to the best Ali images and video of the legendary athlete and his journey throughout the decades.

“Muhammad Ali remains among the most recognisable people on earth,” said David Reeder, VP, Greenlight.

“His success as a boxer is widely respected, but Ali's greatest triumph lies in his legacy as a champion, leader, humanitarian, and artist. His work both inside and outside the ring truly makes Muhammad Ali The Greatest of All Time.”

Kelly Hill, vice president, Worldwide Licensing of MAE, added: “We have been impressed with the way Greenlight manages other iconic brands.

“Our partnership with a truly global company like Greenlight will help us leverage Ali’s universal appeal and effectively manage advertising and endorsement activities on his behalf around the world.”
