Zodiak Rights has grown the Mr Bean licensing programme even further, adding gift specialist Half Moon Bay to the line-up.

The company will be producing a line of items including mugs, glassware, bags, wallets, tinware, key rings and magnets. All will launch later this year.

The news comes on the back of some strong figures from Cartoon Network's Boomerang channel for the animated TV series. Mr Bean is the number one show in Q2 and has been seen by six million people since its launch last autumn.

In addition, the live action show has been performing well on ITV3. On the first Sunday of July, Mr Bean was the best performing programme on the channel, attracting 400,700 viewers with a 2.1 per cent share on the 7.15pm slot.

"The Mr Bean brand continues to perform well in all media and we are delighted to add Half Moon Bay to our range of licensees with new bespoke products," said Jane Kennedy, senior UK licensing manager at Zodiak Rights.

Other recent licensees for the property include Spike Leisurewear, Orion Costume and Ty UK.
