The new line will be aimed predominantly at the children’s market and is due to hit shelves in January 2010, with further ranges to be developed on an ongoing basis.

The range will feature many of the Disney brands including Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Disney Fairies, Disney Princess, Disney/Pixar Cars, Toy Story, High School Musical and Hannah Montana.

Hallmark has worked with the Walt Disney Company for many years in markets around the world creating numerous products including Disney’s first range of real song cards, which feature music and sound bites from the company’s characters and films.

Lisa Palillo, marketing and CSR communications controller at Hallmark Cards said:

“Disney’s wealth of rich stories and strong portfolio of franchises provide exciting opportunities to further broaden our greeting card offering, and will see us working with their well-loved characters which have a treasured place in the hearts of the UK public. “

Claire Peacock, director of Disney Stationery, UK and Ireland added: “The new ranges of greeting cards will see brand new, compelling and innovative designs which will further extend the great stories of our characters and will delight fans across the UK.”

Cards will be available from Hallmark.co.uk and other greeting card retailers from January 2010.
