Haribo has agreed a deal with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment to launch Haribo Minions this summer.
Haribo Minions will be available in strawberry, apple, raspberry, cherry and blueberry flavours.
Each piece resembles popular Minion characters from the Despicable Me franchise, including an additional purple Evil Minion piece from Despicable Me 2.
“Despicable Me is a much-loved brand and has mass market appeal," said Haribo marketing manager, Hayley Johnson.
"With this in mind, we’ve no doubt that Haribo Minions will prove just as popular, becoming a key driver of confectionery sales this summer and beyond."
Haribo Minions will be available from later this month.
“The Minions have become iconic characters across the globe, so it only makes sense for Universal and Illumination to partner with such a renowned company,” said Stephanie Sperber, president of Universal Partnerships and Licensing.
“We are thrilled to be in business with Haribo and can’t wait for consumers to see the Minion-themed products that they have created.”
The launch of Haribo Minions will be supported by a summer marketing campaign spanning digital and social activity, PR and impactful POS.
