Rocket Licensing has secured a deal with Hasbro for the development of board and travel games based on the huge publishing hit The Dangerous Book for Boys.
Rocket's Charlie Donaldson claimed that the deal was the first of many which would be secured with "renowned" licensees.
The Dangerous Book for Boys has shifted over 750,000 copies in the UK and over one million in the US. The second book - Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys: Things to Know - is already a bestseller after its launch in June, while The Dangerous Book for Boys Yearbook has just been published in the UK.
"The book is fantastic, a fabulous concept and rich in material with which we can develop some great games," said Andrew Lane, licensing director at Hasbro.
Donaldson continued: "We have established a key partnership with Hasbro, the first of many internationally renowned licensees we shall be signing. Our aim is simple, to make The Dangerous Book for Boys the best boys licensed brand ever."
