Yesterday, a selection of key licensing industry execs revealed that retail was going to be a major challenge over the next 12 months.

They cited shrinking shelf space, stocking 'no risk' lines and short-term thinking at retail level as issues that all need tackling in 2008.

"We need to make sure that we are delivering on product that retailers want to carry," said Gustavo Antonioni, head of UK licensing at Marvel. "We need to deliver a retail statement, not an item business."

Now, Licensing.biz wants to hear what you think. If you're a licensor, what would you change about your retail business model to make it smoother? Or are you completely happy and disagree with our panel?

How can retailers be convinced to try untested, new brands?

If you're a licensee, what are the major issues you often come up against when dealing with retail?
