Helena Mansell-Stopher joins National Geographic as firm builds UK licensing

Joining from Bulldog Licensing, Mansell-Stopher steps into the role of director of consumer products UK in which she will drive and transform the consumer product division across adults and kids.

National Geographic Partners is expanding its focus on its UK licensing business with the appointment of Helena Mansell-Stopher.

Joining from Bulldog Licensing, Mansell-Stopher steps into the role of director of consumer products UK in which she will drive and transform the consumer product division across adults and kids.

Based in London, she will report to Maria Maranesi, vice president consumer products and experiences, Europe and Africa. The new appointment is the latest in National Geographic Partners’ increased focus on its EMEA operations and expanding its reach across all areas of the brand such as publishing, broadcasting, travel and consumer products.

“Building on our success over the past 129 years, National Geographic resonates with millions of consumers every month, across 172 countries and this expansion is testament to our commitment to the region,” said maranesi.

“Helena is both a highly skilled professional and her leading expertise will be integral to our UK business as we develop new ways to extend our sterling brand into products and experiences that are authentic to National Geographic and relevant to our consumers.”

Following a successful 18-year career within the licensing industry across leading consumer products brands, Mansell-Stopher boasts experience in category and brand management as well as retail and creative development of brands such as Shopkins, Miraculous, Electronic Arts, Life Magazine as well as Mattel, Marvel and Hit Entertainment.
