Hell's Kitchen heading to console

New video game based on Gordon Ramsay's culinary reality TV contest on way.

Interactive entertainment company Ludia is to create a line of games based on the successful Hell's Kitchen property.

The firm has inked a multi-year exclusive agreement with Granada and will roll out games on console, mobile and PC formats.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will be featured throughout the game. His likeness will comment on the culinary creations of the players, as well as their overall performance. The game will also feature a recipe book with several of Ramsay's favourite dishes.

"We are thrilled that Granada is entrusting is with the Hell's Kitchen property," said Ludia founder Alex Thabet. "The show has millions of viewers, and the game will bring the fun of the kitchen boot camp experience from the TV to the PC and consoles of this rapidly growing audience."

Katrina Moran, executive VP of Granada America Digital Media, added: "Our strategy is to exploit our brands on as many platforms as possible and to get our content to consumers when and where they want it."
