The Jim Henson Company’s licensing arm, Henson Independent Properties has secured a swathe of broadcast and digital deals for Lily’s Driftwood Bay and Elias: Rescue Team Adventures.
The new partnerships have been secured ahead of this year’s MIPTV, strengthening the firm’s slate as it prepares to take to the event.
Elias: Rescue Team Adventures is growing its global reach having been picked up by the US Hispanic broadcaster Vme TV, as well as POD Worldwide in Thailand and Media Corp for the Asian market.
In Eastern Europe, Tring TV has licensed the series for free TV in Albania.
Meanwhile, Lily’s Driftwood Bay – a mixed media animated series for four to six year olds – has been acquired by Discovery Education, while in the US, N. Circle has secured the DVD rights to the series.
Asia’s DAAI TV has acquired the exclusive free TV rights for the series in Indonesia and Multichoice Africa has secured the non-exclusive SVOD and AVOD rights for across Africa.
The swathe of announcements for the two hit pre-school properties were detailed by Richard Goldsmith, EVP, global distribution, The Jim Henson Company.
“Henson’s HIP banner continues to amass strong sales across all platforms for the distinctive children’s series Lily’s Driftwood Bay and Elias: Rescue Team Adventures,” said Goldsmith.
“We are excited to be going to MIPTV this year to present these titles to potential new partners, in addition to all of our new series from The Jim Henson Company including Dot, Splash and Bubbles and Word Party.”
