HGTV debuts Home brand

US home and lifestyle TV network to expand into paint, flooring and bedding categories.

The HGTV television network is to expand its footprint in the licensed merchandise arena, launching a Home brand which will welcome three new products lines.

The brand will launch into the paint, flooring and bedding categories from the spring.

Sherwin-Williams will introduce the exclusive HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams interior paint and painting supplies line in 3,000 stores by June; Shaw Industries will launch flooring in select retail outlets from the spring; while the HGTV Home fashion bedding collection, in partnership with Victoria Classics, will be available at retail nationwide.

"Our partners are respected leaders in their categories and have a wealth of experience delivering high quality consumer products for the home," said Ron Feinbaum, SVP and general manager, consumer products, Scripps Network, which owns HGTV.
