In a move to focus on the organic growth of new properties, Hit Entertainment has boosted its global development team.
The firm has added four experts to a newly created Global Advisory Committee, which aims to guide development and programming teams around the world. It will act as an educational resource to Hit's writers and producers throughout the creative process.
Hit's development team has also greenlit two new projects, animated comedy series For The Birds and music driven series Zip Zip Zippy.
At the same time, Hit has promoted Chris Rose to VP of programming and development. He will report to Christopher Skala, senior VP of programming and new content development. Christina Schick, meanwhile, has been appointed to the newly created position of director of development, reporting to Karen Barnes, senior VP of development and production.
"Hit's expanded North American development team complements our existing team in the UK and allows us to better canvas the globe for innovative, exciting new projects and talent," commented Lenora Hume, EVP of production and programming at Hit.
