Hit Entertainment has made a number of new appointments for its home entertainment team, in a restructure that merges its UK and international arms into one division to support both its UK business and its worldwide licensees.
Martin Adams (pictured), former MD of Clearvision, has been hired as senior director of international home entertainment. Adams will be based in Hit's London offices and will head up the newly combined international and UK home entertainment team. He will have specific responsibility for licensing in major territories such as Germany, France and Scandinavia.
Adams will report to VP entertainment and publishing, David King.
Meanwhile, FremantleMedia executive Russell Pearson will join Hit later this year as director of UK home entertainment. He will oversee the team managing Hit's own UK home entertainment label, which includes the recently hired Neil Johnson, who is account manager.
"It's both reassuring and exciting to have such experienced and capable industry professionals as Martin, Russell and Neil on board," commented King. "The new team structure will make us more efficient, more focused and more able to cross-fertilise learning from one market to another. And our new team members bring an enthusiasm and an expertise that means that are ideally placed to deliver our exciting growth opportunities."
