HIT Entertainment has unveiled the all-new look and new voice for Bob the Builder, as the popular pre-school show returns for a new CG animated series.
TV and film actor, Lee Ingleby will now voice the popular construction worker, as Bob finds himself surrounded by new characters and locations.
Popular characters will of course return, including Wendy and the vehicles Lofty, Muck and Scoop.
New faces will include Leo, Mayor Maria Madison, The Spring City Rockets and two new machines, Two Tonne and Tiny.
“I was very excited to be given the opportunity to be the voice of such a well-loved character,” said Ingleby.
“My little nephew is such a huge fan of Bob that I had to jump at the chance. Capturing a child’s imagination is such an important development in life and I think Bob the Builder is great for that.”
Meanwhile, Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison joins the cast as Scoop, while Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt is to lend her voice to Wendy.
Bob the Builder has been rebranded with a new logo, featuring a B icon which will appear throughout on items including Bob’s workwear, power tools and more.
HIT Entertainment will produce two series of the pre-school show, with an hour long special set to air in 2017.
