Hit grows DVD portfolio with Southern Star deal

Hit Entertainment and Southern Star International have inked a deal for Hit to represent two of the Australian firm's pre-school shows in the UK.

The deal will give Hit all UK home entertainment rights for both Bear Behaving Badly and The Beeps. New releases have been scheduled for this year.

Bear Behaving Badly stars Nev the Bear from the kid's TV series Smile on the BBC. The 26x23-minute series is currently broadcast on CBBC and BBC1 in the UK.

Meanwhile, The Beeps, is an Impossible Television production for Five UK. The CGI series is narrated by Tom Baker and is currently broadcast on Five in the UK.
