Ride Entertainment Systems (RES) in Maryland, US has been appointed as strategic development partner for North America, while Amusement Rides Consultants (ARC), based in The Netherlands, has been hired as partner for the rest of the world.

Both firms will manage the sales, design, sourcing and manufacturing of the ride systems for all Hit's brands, which is a rapidly growing segment of its business.

They will work closely with Hit's brand, marketing and design teams to ensure brand integrity and quality control.

ARC has been responsible for the design and consultancy services for the branded amusement rides for Thomas Land - set to open in March 2008 at Drayton Manor Park in the UK - and a Thomas train ride at Drusillas Parks, also in the UK.

In the US it has worked on the Thomas Town locatiions at Six Flags New England, Magic Mountain California, Six Flags over Georgia and Discovery Kingdom near San Francisco.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with two of the industry leaders in this field," said Peter Byrne, EVP worldwide consumer products at Hit. "Their collective experience in creating first class attractions around the world, coupled with our leading globally recognised pre-school brands, will be pivotal in continuing to build our branded attractions business worldwide."
