Horrid Henry will help raise potentially millions of pounds for charity this festive season.

The hit kids' TV show brand owner Novel Entertainment is supporting ITV's annual fundraiser Text Santa this year.

The campaign centres around two live broadcasts on Friday, December 21st on ITV1 - a Text Santa CITV Special at 4pm on CITV and an ITV celebrity entertainment show at 8pm on ITV1.

The fundraising drive will raise money for six UK charities: Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.

Text Santa raised £4,120,000 in 2011 and organisers are hoping to beat that figure this year.

Along with the on-screen involvement, Horrid Henry also features in the fundraising packs for Text Santa. These have been distributed across the UK via schools and Asda stores.
