Horrid Henry hits the road

Novel Entertainment teams with Watershed Productions for new stage tour.

Hit show Horrid Henry is making the leap from the TV screen onto the stage, with Novel Entertainment teaming with Watershed Productions (in association with Sheffield Theatres).

Based on the books by Francesca Simon and the popular CITV animated series produced by Novel, the original stage show will be written by John Godber, directed by Hannah Chissick and designed by Pip Leckenby.

Horrid Henry - Live and Horrid! will open at Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre on August 28th, with previews from August 26th, and runs until September 13th.

After that, the production will embark on a nationwide tour to venues including St George's Hall, Bradford; Swan Theatre, High Wycombe; Churchill Theatre, Bromley; Journal Tyne Theatre, Newcastle; King's Theatre, Edinburgh; New Theatre, Hull and Liverpool Playhouse.

Further dates into 2009 will be announced shortly.
